A Little About Myself

I’ve been actively studying graphic design, web design and photography since 1999. I’ve had a variety of graphic design related jobs. I am well versed in all of the standard Adobe design software programs (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom and Dreamweaver) and continue to research YouTube and up and coming marketing trends. I have a very diverse set of skills that I think would be valuable to Publix. In my 21 years of experience I’ve worked for a Fortune 500 Company on the User Interface Team, designed many logos, business cards, catalogs, posters and marketing material. I’ve also worked for several sign shops. Here I learned the very specialized skill of designing and wrapping personal and commercial vehicles. My latest passion (4 years strong) is photography. My main focus is on wedding photography, but I am comfortable shooting many different subjects. Editing is a very strong-suit of mine. A typical workflow includes cataloging, then culling 1000+ images, light editing in Lightroom and then finishing off selected photos in Photoshop. In terms of editing I am aware that clipping objects is an important skill set and can handle this task with ease. In all honesty I’m not sure exactly what kind of editing you are searching for. The sign business taught me how to clip images and put them on the sides of vehicles, wedding photography taught me how to adjust highlights, shadows and saturation to turn a photograph shot straight from the camera into something that is much nicer to look at. All of the graphic design projects I’ve been on have taught me how to use Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign in conjunction to produce various forms of marketing online and print material. I’m an open book, so if you would like to see more of my work please visit the following…

My Editing Lab…

The reason for this photo is to show you the tools I use to edit. One day it occurred to me how much faster I could edit if I could just twist knobs for the more popular Lightroom functions (exposure, highlights, shadows, vignette…). The below set up allows me to edit much quicker than in the past. I would be more than happy to bring the same kind of set up to the office if you wanted 😉 The most photos I’ve edited in an hour is 350, but the typical number of wedding photos I can edit in an hour is between 150 and 170. These numbers do not reflect the number of photos that require heavier Photoshop editing.
